Natas Kaupas was one of the first to take street skating seriously in the mid-80s, and the Panther is the graphic forever associated with his name. It originated at Santa Monica Airlines, a sister company to Santa Cruz.
The difference in this version lies in the design. It's not the final artwork everyone knows; it's the original hand-drawn sketch by Jim Phillips before he finalized it, with visible strokes and the drawing still in progress.
The shape is Natas' original, measuring 10.54 inches wide by 30.14 inches long with a 15.4-inch wheelbase. It features an old-school concave, a gentle side-to-side curvature, and a continuous tail, made for pool, ramp, and street.
Seven plies of North American maple individually pressed with epoxy.
