Freestyle is the oldest form of technical skateboarding and the root of almost everything done on a modern setup. Before ramps and handrails, there was a skater, a deck, and a flat surface. It was in this simple space that the ollie, kickflip, and heelflip were born, tricks invented by Rodney Mullen that have defined street skating to this day.
