If there's one graphic that sums up Santa Cruz in the 80s, this is it. Jim Phillips designed the Slasher in 1986 for Keith Meek's pro model: a wave transformed into a dripping blade, with bulging eyes peering out from within. It became known as the Meekster wave and never lost its appeal.
This reissue comes in a Kaleidoscope Foil finish, with metallic foil underneath and matte on top, which makes the color change according to the light.
Unlike other reissues, this one doesn't strictly copy the original shape. The nose is much more upturned than on 80s decks, which makes it much easier to ride today.
It's 10.1 inches wide by 31.13 long, with a 15.4 wheelbase, 5.226 nose, and 6.30 tail, featuring Old School concave and seven layers of North American maple pressed with epoxy.
