Quasi Skateboards was born in 2015 in Dayton, Ohio, from the ashes of Alien Workshop. Chad Bowers brought together Gilbert Crockett, Jake Johnson, and Tyler Bledsoe to create a brand based on surreal graphics, its own artistic identity, and an independent vision of skateboarding.
The Proto 8.5" applies the same concept as the 8.25" version but with the Q63 shape, which features a fuller nose and tail for a larger surface area for flip tricks and grinds. The split veneer on the base is assorted on each unit by Quasi's "Roll the Dice" system: no two decks are alike.
Made at BBS with 7-ply North American maple, 32.125" long and 14.25" wheelbase.
For those who want more width underfoot without giving up the brand's identity.
