Vernon Courtlandt Johnson is the man behind the Ripper and the Skull and Sword, the graphics that defined Powell Peralta in the 80s. Here, he puts the skulls aside and draws a bear: head-on, with fiery red and orange fur burning against a forest of black pine trees, and a sun of concentric rings rising above. Decenzo's name is in red, below the snout.
Shape 247, with a more pointed nose and tail than the popular 242. It gives more scoop to the back foot and is especially noticeable in 360 flips, frontside and switch. 8.0" wide by 31.45" long, 14" wheelbase, 6.75" nose and 6.5" tail. K20 concave.
Seven layers of maple, AirLam press, light with dry pop.
