The Ripper wasn't born as a deck graphic. In 1983, Vernon Courtlandt Johnson designed it for a shop window sticker, one of those stores would put on the glass to say they sold Bones. It moved to t-shirts, then to decks, and it stuck. Four decades later, it remains the most recognizable design skateboarding has ever produced.
Here it is on black. The skull starts red at the top of the cranium, transitions to orange and yellow in the eyes and mouth, and ends green in the ribs.
Shape 249, with mellow angles on the nose and tail, which gives quick pop and more level flips. 8.5" wide by 32.08" long, 14.375" wheelbase, 6.88" nose, and 6.63" tail. K20 concave. Seven layers of maple, AirLam press.
