New Deal Skateboards was founded in the early 90s by Paul Schmitt, Steve Douglas, and Andy Howell, who decided to create a brand that would give control back to skaters during an era dominated by corporate companies. The name came from a shop in Harrow, California, and quickly became synonymous with technical and graphic innovation in the golden age of skateboarding.
The Chums Black is a re-issue of Steve Douglas's original pro model, launched in 1990 with graphics designed by Mick Forster.
This deck features a directional shape of 9.75" x 31.3" with a slightly shorter nose and a wide, square tail, characteristic of the transition to the 90s.
The dual wheelbase allows you to choose between 14.5" for street and 15" for transition and ramp.
Constructed from 7-ply maple with Resin-7 technology and screen-printed graphics.
For collecting or for riding like it's 1990.
