Madrid Skateboards was founded in 1976 in California by Jerry Madrid, who started shaping surfboards in his parents' garage before moving on to skateboards. When the waves weren't good, he shaped skateboards for himself and his friends, and in 1976 he turned that passion into a business with the help of his brothers Jim and Jeff. Five decades later, the brand celebrates its 50th anniversary with the Hall of Fame series.
This deck pays homage to the founder himself with an original shape released in 1977, pressed in the original retro mold that maintains the single kick and virtually no concave characteristic of 70s old school skateboarding.
The 6.75" deck has a 7-ply Canadian maple construction.
Each unit of this limited edition is individually numbered and accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity (LOA).
