A kicker is a launch ramp. You approach it with speed, ride up, and launch into the air. It's the simplest obstacle there is, and it changes everything because suddenly there's something to jump over.
This is the smallest in the collection, making it the perfect piece for beginners. A low ramp is forgiving: if you approach it crooked, you'll land crooked but you'll still land. On a high one, you'll fall. This is where you learn to align your board before riding up and to keep your fingers on top when landing.
