The Skull & Sword was the first pro model graphic that Powell Peralta released. It came out in 1979, belongs to Ray Rodriguez, and was designed by V.C. Johnson, the illustrator behind almost every image that made the brand. In 1983 his signature was removed from the board, leaving only the Powell logo, which is why many people know the design without knowing who it belongs to.
