Chris Joslin's pro model at Bronson Speed Co., and the detail is in the engravings.
There are 8 bearings: seven bear his name and the brand's checkered flag, the eighth has "G Ma" engraved, in honor of the grandmother who raised him. A small detail that says a lot about the skater.
The construction is shieldless, with nothing to create friction or accumulate dirt. They have 6 balls instead of the usual 7 or 8, which means larger balls, more resistant to the impact of hard landings, and fewer contact points to slow them down. The high-speed oil resists water and oxidation, and each set is sealed with nitrogen to arrive at your wheels exactly as it left the factory.
Being open bearings, they gain in speed and require more frequent cleaning than closed ones.
It's worth it if you skate on dry ground and want to roll fast.
